HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT (H&S)
Health and Safety Management (H&S).
Safety built in. Prevention that works, not just paperwork.
What is Health & Safety Management?
Health & Safety Management (H&S) is a mandatory service in projects where more than one contractor or subcontractor is involved.
The Health & Safety Coordinator is the professional responsible for ensuring that works are carried out safely and in accordance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
This service applies from the project stage (if required) through completion, monitoring and documenting everything related to site safety.
HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT
What does the Health & Safety Manager do?
- Prepares the Health & Safety Plan or reviews the contractor’s version.
- Approves risk assessments and method statements.
- Verifies proper application of preventive measures on site.
- Conducts regular site inspections and safety audits.
- Identifies risks, recommends improvements, and can stop unsafe works.
- Coordinates all parties to avoid hazardous interferences.
HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT
Who needs this service?
- Private clients, when hiring more than one trade or company for the same job.
- Residents’ Associations, when undertaking projects requiring multiple trades on site.
- Developers, legally obliged to appoint an H&S Coordinator for all projects involving more than one contractor.
Why is this essential?
Because the CDM Regulations 2015 require it when multiple contractors are working simultaneously.
Because without a Health & Safety Manager, the project may be deemed non-compliant in
case of accident or inspection.
Because proper safety management not only prevents accidents but also reduces legal risks
and penalties.
Because safety is non-negotiable: the client is legally responsible for ensuring it.
HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT
Key Benefits:
- Full compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
- Safer and more professional working environment.
- Avoidance of penalties, civil or criminal liabilities.
- Peace of mind and confidence in site management.
The Health & Safety Manager ensures real working conditions are safe.
Their role is not a formality: it is the only way to guarantee the project is executed safely and legally.
Because if something happens on site…
not having a Health & Safety Manager can be very costly.
